Homocysteine Levels in Patients with Hemorragic Stroke: A Cross-sectional Study

Aim: Accumulating data have shown that increased homocysteine (Hcy) is a risk factor for ischemic stroke (IS). However, it remains controversial whether elevated plasma Hcy level also hemorragic (HS), which accounts about one-fifth of patients. We aimed to measure the levels in patients with HS order investigate possible link. 
 Methods: The study included 30 IS, HS, and healthy subjects. Patients were evaluated conventional factors Hcy, vitamin B12 folic acid.
 Results: Hypertension was higher both IS than participants (p=0.029). significantly groups control group (p=0.001), no statistically difference between each other (p>0.05). Vitamin lower controls Folic acid did not differ three There correlation (p>0.05).
 Conclusion: present indicated found be high regardless subgroups. As well, there folate these Larger cohorts better design, will needed validate our results.
